A fast take on Çılbır (a Turkish egg dish)
Ready in 10 minutes or less!
I’m always on the lookout for quick breakfast ideas that are still complex enough to enjoy day after day. If you like Çılbır, a Turkish dish with poached eggs served over yogurt seasoned with garlic and other herbs and spices, this quick take on it could be your new breakfast go-to. It only takes ~ 10 minutes to prepare — mix two tablespoons of Greek yogurt, cumin, dried mint, sea salt, olive oil, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice with two boiled eggs (I prefer medium-boiled eggs, but feel free to choose your preferred method). Enjoy on a piece of toast or Wasa crackers. I skip the garlic since I’d rather not go to my coworking space with stinky breath, but on the weekends, it’s a garlic fest! ;)
Happy eating!
Alexis
